    pert. to being the lowest in status, least. In our lit. only rarely as a true superl. (Jos., Bell. 6, 198) smallest, least (PTebt 24, 67 [117 B.C.]; Josh 6:26) ὁ ἐ. τῶν ἀποστόλων the least of the apostles 1 Cor 15:9. Otherwise elative (s.
